RLL July

Some more scenes from our family vacation at RLL this summer:

Activities enjoyed:

Swimming - of course! even baby David had a try:

Botje-ball, volleyball - in this game 2 on 2:

Yes, the girls won against the guys!

Pontificating around the fire:

No annual "craft with Oma "as poor Oma was out of commission for most of the week!

A Coloring Contest kept the kids occupied one morning:

- even Willy!

Anna organized a Treasure Hunt:

Judges deliberating - it was hard!

Best center piece but they didn't get highest mark on it because whoever heard of bowls growing out in nature!

Favourite activity: Consuming Communal meals

Cutting hair has become an annual RLL activity.

Even a couple of stubborn boys finally submitted to the shears (no photos permitted)

You're doing a good job Sharon!

And of course taking photos is a favourite activity:

- and posing for them:

:)

Grade 8 Grads

Since the parents haven't posted here, an Auntie will post something too special to miss:

2 of the grandchildren graduated from Grade 8 this year:

Raph & Sharon's eldest, Rachel Christina,

and Christine & Maurice's 4th, Joshua Ralph

proud Opa & Oma with grandson Josh

proud Oma with granddaughter Rachel

Rachel diligently sewing her dress as part of her sewing lessons from Oma. We all enjoyed the excuse for having her here often! And she did a great job on a challenging pattern!

Congratulations both of you!

And all the best in the greater challenges ahead in highschool!
