Sweet 16 & Natural Beauty Party

It was a delightful, attentive, fun group of sweet teen girls who graced our home & yard on the occasion of sweet Rachel’s Sweet 16^th birthday :)

and the Westies for decorating the side yard very nicely!



 The theme was natural (& safe), real beauty - of which these girls are growing examples!

We talked about how to maintain & enhance the God-given beauty of youth - from inside out, and without harming themselves (much of the commercially available store brands of cosmetics contain carcinogens, liver toxic and pro-aging ingredients).  I showed a few safe products but mostly encouraged use of good, simple stuff from the garden and in the kitchen - if its safe to eat, its safe to put on your skin!

 

Lunch was a good example of beautiful nutrition and eating colors and we enjoyed God's fresh & tasty bounty. (no photo)
A leisurely walk, teasing snap-dragons, and discovering a brook that turns leaves to gold :) completed the afternoon.
Thanks to all who came and made this a special day (&surprise for our dear unassuming Rachel) and so glad to be able to do this while the dear Westies were still living near by!
